Noisy chain tensioner

I recently started toying around with the E300....bought a few dirt cheap on line and have been obsessed ever since with making them faster.
I upgraded to an 8mm chain and noticed that the noise level has increased as well from the tensioners roller wheel. I also had to do a slight modification to the tensioners arm so that the 8mm chain wouldnt rub.
Is there a different tensioner or a replacement roller wheel other than metal?  Maybe teflon?

We do not carry or know where to get any aftermarket chain tensioners for the Razor E300 scooter. A chain tensioner made out of Teflon sounds like a great idea though. Someone who is decent at CAD software could design one and then have an online machine shop make it.
