I've found several 36v lithium ion BMS (10S2P) packs originally made as replacements for hoverboards. They only have 4.4Ah. I was wondering if anyone has tried using these for a cheap lithium battery upgrade.

Hi rich. No the controller does not get hot. The motor will get a little warm but all in all it handles great

Well what do ya know. Eric’s bypass hack works. More power on hills and maybe + 2 -2.5kph flat speed.

The first controller I had was completely filled with a silicone gel. Getting to the current shunt was... annoying to say the least.
