Question on battery

Hi, I've re built an old E300, I've replaced the speed controller and motor for 36v 500w. I've found a battery I like, but I'm curious if it will be ok to connect the original e300 speed controller terminal to it using the original e300 battery terminal. Images attached Thanks in advance.

The red and black wires are the battery pack's output wires that would connect to the controller. The DC input port is for the battery charger to plug into. As long as the same connector is installed on the red and black wires then they will plug into the controller. A fuse should be installed between the battery pack and controller also.
