Movement in sprocket?

Hi I've recently purchased a scooter, today I switched on and gave some slight throttle and noticed that the wheel stays still for a split second whilst the sprocket moves for a second and then it engages with the wheel and it then moves the wheel. Is this normal? I've attached a video turning the sprocket by hand just to give a clearer idea what I'm talking about.

That amount of sprocket movement is perfectly normal for electric scooters which have a freewheel.

Depending on the positions of the inner and outer moving parts of the freewheel the pawl may take a little while to engage with the ratchet.
