Quad stinks when changing

Can't figure out why the quad stinks all around it when it's charging, I thought might be the charger but it seems to be coming from the quad itself! Any ideas what'd needs work?

I would start by checking the batteries for swelling or any other signs of overheating. If one or more of the batteries is overheating during recharging then it or they will definitely smell bad. The battery charger's power basically goes straight through to the battery pack so it would have to be the battery pack or the wires between it and the charger port.
