Golden Technologies Scooter - Code 9

We have a scooter that runs fine until you stop moving, then it may or may not start blinking code 9 which reads  "Bad parking brake connection.  Check parking brake connections and motor connections".  If we put the scooter in neutral and back out of neutral then the light stops blinking and the problem goes away until the next time you stop the scooter.


All of the connections that I see look good.  I'm wondering what the most likely cause of such an issue is.

Hi Bill, we do not currently have any experience with Golden Technologies scooters so I do not have a definitive answer to your question however I would start troubleshooting by testing the continuity of the parking brake switch to see if it is causing the error code. In most cases the switch will fail long before its connector will.
