Minimoto Go Kart shuts off

Hi, my son's go kart will just shut off while he's riding it. It has a brand new battery installed so I'm looking for help as to what it could be. When it does it we flip the switch to off, wait 10 seconds, and then it works again. But there's no guarantee how long it will run u till it happens again.

I have a TRX electric scooter and it does the same thing. I thought it was the off on switch so I replaced it. That seemed to work for a while, but now it is doing the same thing again. Maybe someone will have a better fix.
