Razor E100s Start up issue

I could use some help with my E100S Razor electric scooter - i cannot get the throttle to engage properly when standing, but if i roll it down the road and rev it whilst moving I can get it to run until I release the throttle. Could anyone offer me some advice on a repair/what the problem might be?

The Razor E100 electric scooter has a push-to-start safety feature which requires that the scooter is pushed to around walking speed before it will start. This feature is built into the controller and can not be disabled.

The only way to change this feature is to modify the scooter by custom installing an aftermarket controller and throttle which does not have the push-to-start feature.
