24V 500W motor with 500W controller?

im planning on purchasing a 24v 500W motor for my son's custom Peg Perego RZR but I need a reverse function so this speed controller is the only option. SPD-24500R.


1)My issue is, the controller is a 500W and the Motor is 500W, is this safe?


2) another question. I need 2 speeds,  low (12v) and high (24v) is this possible with a 24v speed controller? 

A 24 Volt 500 Watt controller and 24 Volt 500 Watt motor are a perfect match for each other and made to be used together.

We have a Throttle Top Speed Adjustable Limiter with High/Low Speed Switch Connector that can be used to give the motor two speed ranges, with this adjuster the low speed range is adjustable by turning a knob on the adjuster and a high/low speed range selection switch can be wired directly to it.
