Electric beach cart

I'm looking to build an electric beach cart made of metal using wheelers beach tires , Need to be strong enough to pull 500 pounds and go up some terrain what kind of motor will I need?
With a top speed of 3 to 4 miles per hour one of our 36 Volt 600 Watt gear motors should do the job as long as the beach cart does not have to travel up too steep of hills. If the cart has to travel up steep hills or go through a lot of deep dry sand then since it will be pulling 500 pounds I would recommend using two 36 Volt 600 Watt gear motors to ensure that the cart has enough power.
