Hi there I have a old go kart that Im trying to revive. Im going to get the 24v 500W electric motor kit however, my only concern is that the sprocket may not fit my axel. the axel's diameter measured at 25mm. Please help

If you are looking at buying the 24 Volt 500 Watt go-kart kit item # KIT-24500-03 then the sprocket included with it has a 54mm ID which will clear the 25mm axle. The easiest way to install the kit's sprocket is to center and bolt it onto the go-karts existing sprocket if it has one and it has a smaller diameter than the kit's sprocket. The outside diameter of the kit's sprocket is 6-1/2" (165mm).

Thank you for the response, my only issue is that the sprocket that is on the kart right now doesn't have a 4 bolt mounting system, it has 6. How would we bolt the sprocket that is in the kit which has a four bolt mounting system.

second question,is the 500W motor only compatible with a #25 chain, we have a #35 chain at the moment and if the motor was compatible, could we just use what we have.

One more thing, we are doing this for a school project and before we get any funding, we're required to have a voice discussion with any vendor we contract with to verify our plans and materials. is there a good contact phone number for a live person?

Thank you for your help. To clarify my above email -- we would like to stay with the #35 chain - can we get a sprocket for the motor that will work with #35 so that we can use the exiting chain and axel sprocket?

In that case we wouldn't need the sprocket or chain in your kit and so you could keep those but charge us the same anyway.
